Facade impregnation is a treatment where a hydrophobic (water-repellent) agent is applied to the masonry. This agent penetrates deep into the pores of the brick and forms an invisible protective layer. Water beads up on the surface and runs off, while moisture from inside can still evaporate — the wall remains breathable.
